Where's my pencil?

This year, when Ben does his handwriting work, he sits across from me at my table. After he makes sure his pencil is sharpened, we get to work. Thursday, I called Ben over to do handwriting, and told him to sharpen his pencil. Then one of the other kids asked me a question about their school work. When I returned my attention to Ben, I told him to get his pencil, let's get started. He spent no less than five solid minutes looking for his pencil.

Not what we expected.

This week was not what we expected! I expected a full day Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday, a half day Friday at home, and a full day at Learning Center on Tuesday. Monday through Wednesday went great! Thursday, however, Mom woke up sick as could be! I was really impressed with the kiddos working diligently, even though I kept falling asleep at my table. Friday, I woke up to Christopher and Ben in the kitchen working on school work! (Yes, I slept late.) We ended up giving them Friday off, and after going to the doctor to find out it's "only" a sinus infection, I spent the rest of the day laying on the couch.

The kids went to a Back to School Bash with the Jeremiah Network and had a blast! They all came back with stories, including Daddy falling asleep in the lounge chair. The ladies were kind enough to tease him about snoring, even though Morgan said he never did.

Now I'm looking at next week, we'll see what will happen!
